EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF INDEPENDENT LIVING
Marielena is the Executive Director at Desert Winds Independent Living, where her primary focus is to ensure that all residents feel respected and valued. With a passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors, Marielena is committed to providing an environment that promotes joy, comfort, and well-being. Her goal is to nurture a community where residents experience a true sense of home and belonging. Under her leadership, Desert Winds is dedicated to maintaining a loving, supportive atmosphere that encourages meaningful connections between residents and staff, making it a welcoming place for everyone who enters.
Gena Yates
SALES DIRECTOR OF INDEPENDENT LIVING
Gena brings more than 15 years of experience serving seniors and their families, with a specialized background in Private Duty Home Care. She is passionate about building genuine relationships, listening to each person’s story, and helping make the transition to Independent Living feel comfortable and exciting. Gena believes every person deserves to feel heard, supported, and confident when making such an important decision. Outside of senior living, she is a proud wife and mom of three who has been with her high school sweetheart for more than 25 years. She looks forward to helping each resident feel at home and excited about their next chapter.
Eileen Carter
SALES DIRECTOR OF ASSISTED LIVING AND MEMORY SUPPORT
Eileen brings over 20 years of healthcare experience, including hospice, skilled nursing, home health, and the past five years in senior living. She has a genuine passion for helping seniors live their best lives, building meaningful relationships, and supporting families every step of the way. Outside of work, Eileen is the proud mother of three sons and grandmother to 7-year-old twins. She is also an animal lover with four cats and a dog. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, watching football and basketball, and catching up on her favorite true crime shows.
